Versowood receives Pro metsä 2026 award in the Häme region

The Forest Council of the Häme region in Finland has awarded Versowood with the 2026 Pro metsä award. The award was handed over to Versowood in a ceremony in Lahti on May 25, 2026.

The Pro metsä award gives recognition to individuals, groups, companies or other organizations for good, innovative, and successful work in the forest field and supporting the goals of regional forest programs.

Versowood has consistently advanced the sustainable and active use of forests and strengthened the viability of the forest industry, especially in the Häme forest program region. The company is a significant processor of Finnish wood that also supports forest management and the stability of the forest sector in a fluctuating market. The company's operations emphasize resource efficiency, circular economy, and climate-resilient solutions.

- Versowood is a significant employer and a regional economic reinforcer in various areas. The company collaborates closely with forest owners and industry players as well as acting as a reliable partner throughout the forest chain, says Jouni Rantala from Finnish Forest Centre.

Another recipient of the 2026 Pro metsä award was the LadyForest community of women forest owners.
